Can I download BeyondRead now?
Yes. BeyondRead 1.0 is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad running iOS 17 or later, in every storefront except mainland China. The mainland China edition is a separate app that is still completing its filing.
Can I bring my own books?
Yes. BeyondRead supports EPUB and PDF, plus some DRM-free MOBI and AZW files. It does not remove DRM or include an online bookstore. Public-domain sample books are included.
Does it work offline?
You can read your imported books and use local bookmarks and quotes offline, without an account. New AI explanations, translations, and digests require an internet connection and sign-in.
Are AI features free?
A limited free allowance is included. Optional monthly subscriptions provide more AI usage. Prices, allowances, and renewal details are shown in the app.
Will my library sync between devices?
Your books and reading data are stored on the device. Signing in or restoring a subscription does not sync your library. Keep copies of your original ebook files.
How is the website language chosen?
beyondread.app opens in English and beyondread.cn opens in Chinese. Either site can be switched at any time, and your choice is remembered in a preference cookie. The website does not look up or send your IP address.
